Interesting Facts About Finland

Finland flagBackground: Finland was a province and then a grand duchy under Sweden from the 12th to the 19th centuries, and an autonomous grand duchy of Russia after 1809. It won its complete independence in 1917.

During World War II, it was able to successfully defend its freedom and resist invasions by the Soviet Union – albeit with some loss of territory. In the subsequent half century, the Finns made a remarkable transformation from a farm/forest economy to a diversified modern industrial economy; per capita income is now among the highest in Western Europe.

A member of the European Union since 1995, Finland was the only Nordic state to join the euro system at its initiation in January 1999. In the 21st century, the key features of Finland’s modern welfare state are a high standard of education, equality promotion, and national social security system – currently challenged by an aging population and the fluctuations of an export-driven economy.

Hello, I am Anna, I am on a local lighthouse team in Bonney Lake, Washington, USA. I was checking out your site because I was meeting with Jervae Brooks from the International Headquarters of Aglow. She was mentioning you being a raw food educator. As I was telling her my new journey into the raw food world. Nonetheless, I being apart of Aglow wanted to connect with you. Earlier in 2013 the Lord spoke a word to me about “Global Aglow” and showed me Aglows from around the world connecting. So we would like to be praying for you and possibly communicating concerning needs your Nation is facing.
Feel free to connect with any needs we can be praying for outside those posted on your prayer page.
I would love to also connect concerning the raw food as well, I have been asking the Lord to send me people that are like minded. I would love to share my testimony with you and ask you questions.
God bless you, our prayers are with you!

I think I misunderstood who’s page this was…If not going to Findland National President, Kristina Turner, I extend my deepest apologies. I in no way want to misuse this forum. However we do want to connect with her and do want to be praying for her and the Nation of Finland.
